Especially in winter, the Silver Waterfall area is one of the thickest snow and ice in Sapa. Fansipan

Fansipan is the highest mountain peak in Vietnam, located on the majestic Hoang Lien Son range. This peak is also the highest mountain in the three Indochina countries, called the “roof of Indochina.” Fansipan peak has 3,143m, about 9km from Sapa town to the southwest, bordering the two provinces of Lao Cai and Lai Chau. Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area
Sun World Fansipan Legend is located in the southwest of Sapa town, is a complex of cultural tourism works, cable car services, entertainment, and high-class resort hotels. After being put into use, Sun World Fansipan Legend has been recognized by Guinness as the tallest, most comprehensive, and most modern three-wire cable car system in the world, installed for the first time in Asia. With the cable car system connecting Muong Hoa valley to the top of Fansipan, it takes only 15 minutes for visitors to reach the top of Fansipan, admiring the majestic natural scenery of the mountains covered in mist. Sapa Ancient Rock Field
Referring to Sapa, it is impossible not to mention the Sapa Ancient Rock Field in Muong Hoa valley, where there are significant “heavenly books.” The ancient stone field has about 8km2, including 200 large and small stones scattered along the Muong Hoa valley and laying on three communes of Lao Chai, Ta Van, and Hau Thao. Strange inscriptions, images of geologic maps, and battle diagrams carved on stone are all imprints of the ancients that there is no decipher. According to scientists, the ancient rock field is a vast store of books containing the knowledge and concepts of the ancients about nature, describing the community’s daily life. With the importance of evidence of human development, in 1994, the ancient rock field was recognized as a National Historical-Cultural Relic and put on the list to be protected and preserved.

Thuong Temple

Bao Ha Temple

He invited the geographer to choose the land, the direction of the house, and two French and Chinese architects to design and directly supervise the construction until 1921. The villa is charming, with Asian-European-style architecture harmoniously combined with a closed rectangular layout. The left and right sides are the outbuildings, the front is the screen, and the middle is the playground for rituals and Xoe dancing.

Sapa Stone Church

Sapa stone church built in 1895 is a complete ancient architectural mark of the French left in Sapa. The church is located in a prime location behind the shielding Ham Rong mountain. In front is a large, flat land, where the colorful festivals of the mountain town take place. The total area of the stone church campus is about 6,000 meters which are divided into many different zones, including church area, rectory, monk’s house, livestock area, angel house, yard, fence, and holy garden. The entire church is built of hewn stone and linked together by a mixture of sand, lime, and molasses. The roof is tiled, the ceiling is made of lime and straw, and the stained-glass windows depict the life of the Lord. After more than a century of existence through many historical events, Sapa Stone Church still stands majestically, both as a spiritual place of indigenous people and as a cultural rendezvous with tourists from all over the world.
Traditional villages in Lao Cai Travel

Lao Cai Festival
Lao Cai has 25 ethnic groups. Each ethnic group has its customs, practices, costumes, architectural styles, and lifestyles, creating a diverse and rich cultural picture. The unique cultural feature of the province is the highland markets (the area has 14 markets).
