Hotel de la Coupole – MGallery Sapa

Indochine style is a style created by French architects, notably Ernest Hebrard, and applied to Vietnamese architecture during the French colonial period. This style is a combination of characteristics of European architecture and typical features of Asian architecture. Today’s Indochinese style is applied in houses, villas, hotels, and resorts in Vietnam.

Pictured is the hotel de la Coupole – MGallery in the center of Sa Pa town (Lao Cai). Architect Bill Bensley designed the hotel in an upmarket French style. The inspirational story for the composition is the life of the French among the indigenous peoples of Sa Pa, such as H’Mong, Dao, Xa Pho, Tay, and Giay 1920-1930.

The hotel owns 249 rooms, with Classic, Superior, Deluxe, Executive Suite, and Presidential room categories. The picture above is the favorite check-in point of tourists when they arrive at the hotel, with a view of the Hoang Lien Son range.

Arriving at the hotel, you will immerse in the colorful beauty of ethnic minorities in Sapa and the charm of French fashion. From the main lobby, corridors, and restaurants to every room, each room is decorated with crafts with colorful local motifs or paintings collected worldwide.

Many visitors to the hotel are also impressed with the local staff’s professional but equally charming style, in uniforms inspired by traditional national costumes. Room prices here from about 2.4 million.

Capella Hanoi Hotel

Capella Hanoi Hotel, located on Le Phung Hieu Street, Hoan Kiem District (Hanoi), was also designed by architect Bill Bentley. The work celebrates the art of opera and recreates a lavish hotel for famous artists and composers during the golden age of opera music.

The hotel also features Art Nouveau and Art Deco designs. In the elevator lobby are four enormous statues named Carotids, recreating the indispensable architectural features of theater design in its heyday?

The hotel has 47 rooms with an area from 35 m2 to 194 m2, with French-style balconies overlooking the old town or green gardens. Each room has its design, associated with the story of a famous artist or a legend in the past. A night’s room here costs about 6.5 million.

The Anam

The Anam is a 5-star resort on the coast of Cam Ranh (Khanh Hoa), where an average of 300 days of sunshine and warmth a year is a delicate combination of the beauty of classical French architecture style and the charm. Contemplation carries the breath of Vietnamese tradition. The resort has 77 villas and 136 rooms with large outdoor balconies or terraces overlooking the sea, green lawns, or bougainvillea-colored gardens.

The Anam has three restaurants, a beach club and a bar. It offers meals ranging from traditional Vietnamese family meals, to beach barbecues or high-end menus. Staying at the resort, guests can experience cycling on the green campus, walking on the sunny beach, swimming in 3 outdoor pools, participating in cooking classes, and practicing Vovinam martial arts and yoga.

In each villa, the room is tiled with mosaic tiles, has aged wooden furniture, and is decorated with local artworks to bring a nostalgic atmosphere, close but no less luxurious. A night’s stay here costs from 3 million.

Poulo Condor Boutique Resort & Spa

Poulo Condor Boutique Resort & Spa is located between the primeval forest at the foot of Nui Chua and on the long sandy beach of Vong beach, in Con Dao (Ba Ria – Vung Tau). The resort is inspired by a harmonious blend of traditional Vietnamese design and French colonial heritage dating back to the early 20th century.

The resort owns 36 rooms and villas with private pools in white and turquoise tones. The floor is covered with cement tiles and has a Vietnamese-style interior, giving it a feeling of nostalgia.

Staying at the resort, guests can enjoy a sunny day by the 2 km long private beach, bask in the cool water of the outdoor mountain-facing swimming pool or relax with a spa treatment, yoga class, and meditation morning. A night’s stay here costs 2.9 million VND.
