Mang Den, a small town in Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province, is a perfect destination for tourists who love exploring nature and chasing clouds. With an average altitude of 1,000 – 1,500m above sea level, this town has a cool climate all year round, ranging from 16 to 22 degrees Celsius, making it an ideal place for cloud hunting. If you plan to visit Mang Den to enjoy cloud-hunting, here are some spots that you shouldn’t miss:

Mang Den Virgin Mary Hill

Located on Tran Nhan Tong Street, Mang Den Virgin Mary Hill is a familiar cloud-hunting spot that you can easily reach by bicycle, motorbike, car, or even on foot. It takes about 5 to 15 minutes to travel from the center of Mang Den town. This spot is perfect for tourists who stay overnight in Mang Den. On the way to Mang Den Virgin Mary Hill, there are also a few other places where you may be lucky enough to see the clouds.

Another cloud-hunting spot near the center of Mang Den town is located at 73 Vo Nguyen Giap Street. Similar to Mang Den Virgin Mary Hill, tourists will only need about 5 to 15 minutes to travel if they are within the town limits. This is a quiet corner for tourists to visit early in the morning. The wooden decks are an ideal place to admire the wide, picturesque view of the clouds and mountains in the distance.

Khu 37 hộ (37-house area) is a cloud-hunting spot located on the way to Đỉnh Ngọc Lễ (Ngoc Le Peak). This area is well-known for its untouched natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and the stunning view of the clouds. However, visitors should not travel alone, especially in places with complicated routes like this.

Đỉnh Ngọc Lễ (Ngoc Le Peak)

Located at an altitude of 1,000m, Đỉnh Ngọc Lễ (Ngoc Le Peak) is known for its breathtaking view of the clouds, forests, and mountains. To reach the peak, tourists will need to travel by car or motorbike for about 15km from the center of Mang Den town. The journey will take around 40 minutes. Tourists can park their vehicles at the foot of the mountain and climb up to the peak, which takes about 30 to 40 minutes. Visitors will be rewarded with the stunning panoramic view of the whole town, forests, and mountains covered by a sea of clouds. This is a perfect spot to watch the sunrise or sunset.
