About Van village in Da Nang

Van Village is located at the foot of Hai Van Pass, in Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District, about 30km from the center of Da Nang, with about 1 hour of travel.

Van village in Da Nang is a beautiful village leaning against the mountain, facing directly to Nam Chon Bay, where there is an attractive beauty with remnants of ruined houses, etc. All combined to form a perfect picture.

The tourists come here sometimes just because they suddenly discovered it while wandering on Hai Van pass. Some people know in advance and go to it. When should you go to Van village in Da Nang? 

Because it is just a tiny village nestled on the coast, from March to September is the best time to go camping in Van village in Da Nang. The weather at that time was sunny, beautiful, gentle wind, the color of the sea was at its bluest. October – December is the time in the Central region often appear storms. So, according to Da Nang’s travel experience, you should avoid going at this time.

To get to this village, you can choose one of the following two ways of transportation. 

Going by waterway

The waterway is the fastest and most straightforward way to travel to Van village. You can rent a boat at Nguyen Tat Thanh beach and then move about 30 minutes to get there. Going by waterway, visitors will have the opportunity to feel the sunny and windy taste of the ocean.

Going by road

Route 1 (walking down from the mountain): If you have enough physical strength and health and love climbing, follow this route. First, you ride a motorbike to Hai Van pass and then park your car at a restaurant about 3km from the foot of the pass and walk about 1km to Van village.

Route 2 (passing through the tunnel): This is the most time-saving route, but lurking many dangers. To get to Van village, you have to go through a 1km long train tunnel that is quite dark, so traveling is relatively tricky. Therefore, prepare yourself a flashlight, go close to the edge to avoid danger.

Van village is “The world’s most powerful pass” This place owns a wild natural setting with excellent blue seawater and mountains. Bathing in the sea in the village, visitors will feel the absolute refreshment and relaxation.

Coming to the village, many people choose a small corner by the beach to camp. The harmony between the sea, the sky, the grass, the flowers, the majestic mountains has created a poetic picture of nature. Guests can join friends and relatives to BBQ, sing, chat, breathe in the fresh air, and watch the starry sky.

What to eat when coming to Van village in Da Nang?

Due to the isolated location from the city, the foodservice in Van village has not developed yet. To have an exciting meal by the beach, prepare ingredients from home such as fish, meat, vegetables, etc.
