Three-door gate of Minh Thanh pagoda.
This is the most beautiful pagoda in Gia Lai province, located about 2 km from the center of Pleiku City, in Hoi Phu Ward. Unlike traditional Vietnamese temples, Minh Thanh Pagoda is famous for its architecture combining Japanese and Chinese styles.

Stepping through the three-door gate, visitors will enter the main hall. The pagoda was built in 1964 by Venerable Thich Giac Dao on an area of 20,000 m2, which is a place of worship and incense offering of Buddhists in the area.

The edged roof of the main hall is decorated with dragon mascots and floating clouds.
In 2017, Minh Thanh pagoda was renovated and rebuilt. The current buildings are more majestic than before, such as the 16 m high hall with the ceiling made of famous Pomuwood of the Central Highlands; 6 m height and 4 inches thick wooden door set; 70 m height Sariputra stupa and many small scenes, Buddha statues …

Minh Thanh Pagoda is also famous for its nine-story, 70-meter-high Sariputra stupa, which has many similarities with Japanese Buddhist architecture, such as the top of the tower called Sorin. However, Japanese stupas usually have 3-5 floors.

One of the two embossed statues is located symmetrically on both sides of the main hall’s entrance.
