Where is Kon Chu Rang Nature Reserve?

Kon Chu Rang has a total area of up to 15,9000 ha located in the mountains with diverse geological structures. Together with Kon Ka Kinh National Park, Kon Chu Rang are the core zone of the Kon Ha Nung plateau biosphere reserve. Furthermore, you will encounter the system of hills, rivers, streams, waterfalls, and rainforests; all formed a majestic picture of nature.

The nature reserve management board says it is estimated that there is about 10,000 ha of old and ancient forests, with nearly 550 species of vascular plants. In particular, there are up to 18 valuable and rare species, which listed in the Vietnam Red Book and seven species that contribute to the World Red Book.
Along with the flora is rich fauna with 62 species of mammals, 169 species of birds, and up to 161 species of butterflies. That is why when trekking Kon Chu Rang Nature Reserve, you may come across wild animals in the forest, hear the birds singing, and be captivated by the scenery of butterflies flying in the sun.
With what the mother nature has favored, Kon Chu Rang is developing tourism, opening programs for climbing, hiking, fishing, ecotourism. Attractive spots in Kon Chu Rang
Three-story Waterfall
There are dozens of large waterfalls in the Kon Chu Rang nature reserve. Of which, the most famous one is Three-story Waterfall with majestic beauty, deep in the forest. Called three-story waterfall, but in fact, the middle of this waterfall has 6-7 small floors. In the middle of the cascades, there are many wide and flat rocky stones; visitors can rest and admire the vast mountains.
According to Kon Chu Rang ‘s experience of many tourists, you should conquer the top of the waterfall first and then gradually descend to the lower floors. Thus, you will see more fully the beauty of the waterfall from above, feel the splendor that nature has bestowed on this land.
Looking down from above, Three-story Waterfall looks like a white strip lying between the rocks and the forest. The waterfall murmurs on the middle floor and falls sharply into the bottom floor. Anyone who came here all said that the lowest story is the most beautiful because the water flows directly into a large lake below.
The white water competes each other “tumble” into the air before immersing in the water of the lake. In particular, this lake is quite large and there are many fish, also large rocks around which is suitable for visitors to rest, camping and listening to the waterfall.
Trekking to Hang En waterfall
In addition to the Three-story waterfall, Hang En waterfall is also a check-in point that you cannot ignore. To reach this beautiful waterfall, you have to go from the edge of the forest to a large meadow (also known as Cow Farm). This one is also the starting point for a trekking journey to Kon Chu Rang Nature Reserve.
According to the experience of conquering the Hang En waterfall, you have to follow procedures of the Management Board of the Reserve. Besides, trekkers will be led by rangers due to severe terrain conditions.
Usually to admire the magnificent beauty of Hang En waterfall, you have to “climb up and wade through the stream”, overcome the path of dense leafy trees, steep highs and even dangerous animals such as snakes or bugs. But after all these difficulties, a beautiful waterfall appears as a repayment for your efforts throughout the journey.
Hang En waterfall is about 50 meters high; the width varies from 20 to 100 meters depending on the season. This waterfall has stable and fast-flowing water, a large amount of water, and flows vertically, providing a vivid picture, creating fog and rainbows on sunny days.
The most exciting experience when visiting the Hang En waterfall is taking pictures. If you’re lucky, you will “catch” the moment the rainbow appears in the middle of the white waterfall. Besides, visitors can camp overnight in the dry season, down the stream to catch fish and cook, enjoy the natural life in the middle of the mountains.
