Hoang Lien National Park is proud to be dubbed the “azalea kingdom of Vietnam” and has been recognized by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations as “ASEAN Heritage Park Sapa” with 40 species of azaleas blooming in every April.

Azalea is valuable in science, history, conservation, and beauty. It is also a symbol of faithful love and intense vitality on the magnificent Hoang Lien peak.

April is the time that azalea flowers begin to bloom most brilliantly.

This flower blooms more at an altitude of from 2,200m so that the Fansipan peak area is where azaleas show off their lovely beauty, covering majestic mountains.

Unlike the fragile, graceful mountain ebony flower, the “queen” azalea possesses a beautiful vitality, a bit of vigor, and power with many colors.

Azalea blooms along the Arhat road with every cluster of flowers covering everywhere from bright red to dark pink, light pink, purple, etc. full of enchanting.

Azalea grows on cliffs, protruding along the road leading to the area of Kim Son Bao Thang Tu. Enjoying flowers will relax your soul as if lost in a fairy-tale place.

The cable car that leads to the Fansipan peak is also the most beautiful azalea convergence of Hoang Lien which is from 500 to 700 years old.

Azalea blossoms are very durable, especially with the cold weather on Fansipan. The azalea viewing season here will last from April to July and is always the most anticipated time of the year.
