Five famous beautiful old-growth forests in Vietnam
1. Tra Su cajuput forest

Tra Su cajuput forest is a typical submerged forest in the west of the Hau river, where many species of animals and plants belong to the system of special-use forests in Vietnam. With the beauty of nature and rivers, this place has become a popular attraction in An Giang. Photo: V.dung1301.

Tra Su cajuput forest has an area of about 850 ha. It is home of 140 species of plants; 23 species of fish; 11 species of mammals. Many rare species such as Indian stork, milky stork, darter, white catfish also can be found in this forest. 2. Nam Cat Tien forest

Located in the conservation area of 3 provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc, and Lam Dong, Nam Cat Tien forest is famous for its diverse vegetation. The wood is home of about 40 species listed in the Red Book Global and many other rare plants. 3. Cuc Phuong National Forest
Cuc Phuong National Forest is located in Ninh Binh province, more than 120 km from Hanoi, and it is the first national park in Vietnam. Coming to the Cuc Phuong forest, visitors will have the opportunity to see the ancient trees with hundreds of years old. In particular, Cuc Phuong National Forest has many kinds of animals and plants named in the Red Book. 4. Yok Don Forest
Yok Don Forest is the largest national park in Vietnam with a total area of 115,545 ha, located in the provinces of Dak Nong and Dak Lak, the only national park preserving dipterocarp forest ecosystems in Vietnam. 5. U Minh forest
U Minh forest is divided by Trem River into two parts of U Minh Thuong (Kien Giang) and U Minh Ha (Ca Mau). Both are considered the biosphere, green lungs of the Mekong Delta.
