Dung Island (Soc Trang province) is a islet district located at the end of Hau river. This is a quite special land, potential for developing spiritual eco-tourism.
Dung Island is a land of revolutionary traditions, a smooth green strip of immense sugarcane fields, beautiful fruit orchards, stable forests of the windy areas.
Here, King Nguyen Anh and his entourage refuged, so the place of Long Ẩn (where the king stayed) canal formed from here.

In terms of ecotourism, the hustle and bustle river, Dung island is surrounded by water, flat terrain, intermittent river and canal systems, diverse ecosystems with abundant animal and plant species.
Coming here, visitors will be “fascinated” by the orchards, or watching the large sugarcane fields interspersed with lush green coconut trees, fresh green flower fields creating the unique beauty of Cu. Lao Dung.
The 1,500 hectares dipterocarp forest is considered to be the largest in the Mekong Delta region, with diverse ecosystems with many plants and wildlife. This forest has many flocks of bats, storks, and thousands of birds, many forest bees. Experience the beautiful natural scenery on 800 hectares clam beach, exploring the unspoiled beauty of Monkey Island; taking the boat on the river, joining the journey to find one of the nine estuaries of the Mekong; are the must-tries if you have the opportunity to come here.
