Co Thach beach in Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province, is one of the beautiful beaches of Central Vietnam, attracting a lot of tourists and especially landscape photographers “hunting” for the best moments.
The recent International Photo Contest Contrast 2020 has awarded Salon Diploma for the photo of Co Thach Green Carpet, by Ho Trung Lam. The image is awe-inspiring with the legendary moss carpet, which has attracted many people to “hunt photos” in the best season of this moss area after the Lunar New Year every year.
Giap Van Hai, a travel blogger with the nickname of Thổ Địa Du Lịch on social networks, has confessed to Co Thach moss beach: to take a beautiful picture like Ho Trung Lam, the photographer had to spend a lot of effort to “watch” the moment time over time. Co Thach moss beach is sometimes beautiful, sometimes not beautiful depending on the moss season and the time of the shooting.
Many also lamented that the view of the photographer’s landscape is beautiful but disappointed when it comes to reality. However, they do not understand that to take a good picture, the photographer must go there many times, and must capture lots of photos to choose the best one.
The best time for capturing the moss beach is before and after the Lunar New Year. By April, the moss beach will be dead and no longer green. We have to choose the right time to wait for the tide out(13-19 lunar calendar) and must shoot at dawn (4:30 to 6:30 am). If the sun rises, it is not beautiful anymore.
