Thien Mu Pagoda
Thien Mu Pagoda is considered to be one of the most beautiful pagodas in Hue and is also very popular among tourists. This temple was built by Lord Nguyen Hoang in 1961 and named it “Thien Mu Tu”.
Thien Mu was built on the hill of Ha Khe, located next to the poetic Huong River. If you want to visit this pagoda, you can go by boat on the Perfume River or ride on the road in Hung Long commune.

Bao Quoc Pagoda
Bao Quoc Pagoda is also one of the most beautiful pagodas in Hue. The pagoda was built by Zen master Giac Phong in the late 17th century on Ham Long hill, Bao Quoc street, Phuong Duc ward, Hue city, and named Ham Long Son Thien Tho Tu. In 1824, Emperor Minh Mang changed its name to Bao Quoc Pagoda. In the past, this was a place to train talents for the country’s Buddhism.

Bao Quoc Pagoda is both ancient and solemn and highly appreciated by experts in terms of architecture. The scenery impresses visitors with hundreds of years of old trees. There are many rare and precious plants and flowers in the precinct. There is a poet who once wrote that “This temple sounds like a fairy car – The scenery is like an ancient fantasy” to praise the beauty of Bao Quoc Pagoda.
Huyen Khong Son Thuong Pagoda
This is a temple not only famous but also a rare beauty of the ancient capital. Huyen Khong Son Thuong Pagoda is located in the west of Dong Cham, Huong Ho commune, Huong Tra district, about 10km from Hue city, chaired by the monk Gioi Duc and opened in 1989.

The temple is located halfway up the mountain, the road to the temple is quite winding. The scene here has a fanciful beauty, in front of a poetic lake with brilliant blooming lilies. The space around the pagoda is full of valuable trees and flowers with hundreds of years of age.
Tourists come to the temple not only to return to the Buddha’s realm but also to immerse themselves into the nature of the sky, all worries and stresses of life seem to vanish when arriving in this temple.
Tay Thien Pagoda
Tay Thien Pagoda was built about 100 years ago and possesses a unique spiritual culture. The temple is located in Thuong Mot hamlet, Thuy Xuan commune, Hue city. Previously, Tay Thien Tu was just a small house named Thieu Lam Truong Nhat. Then it was developed bigger and more beautiful. The pagoda has a solemn and serene setting. Especially, Tay Thien pagoda is home to 9 high-ranking monks who attained enlightenment with the most profound Buddha in Vietnam.

Tu Hieu Pagoda
Tu Hieu Pagoda is a quite special temple because it was built from the filial piety of a patriarch towards his mother. The temple is located at Duong Xuan Thuong Hamlet, Thuy Xuan Ward, Hue City. With a large area of over 8 acres, the temple campus has many lakes creating an extremely poetic natural landscape. In the middle of the pagoda is the place to worship the Holy Quan, the left is to worship Huong Linh Buddhist at home and the right is the place to worship eunuchs.

Zen Temple
Thien Ton Pagoda was built in the early 18th century on the Thien Thai mountain range, in Ngu Tay village, Thuy An commune, Hue city and was enlightened by monk Lieu Quan.

Over the length of 2000 years of history with so many ups and downs of the country, this temple has been repaired and built many times to become as beautiful as it is today. Surrounding Thien Ton Pagoda are majestic high mountains of rock. Within the temple precinct, there are many steles, signboards, Quan Yin statues, etc. bearing a lot of unique historical and spiritual values.
