Pa Khoang Lake is located in Muong Phang commune, Dien Bien district, nearly 20km from Dien Bien Phu city. It is a bridge connecting Dien Bien Phu city with Muong Phang primeval forest, where the relic of Dien Bien campaign headquarters is located. Pa Khoang Lake has rich vegetation, diverse terrain, a mild climate suitable for relaxation. The forest beds around the lake have many species of mammals, animals, and orchids. Under the lake, there are many species of fish and floating plants.

Pa Khoang Lake is located in the middle of a majestic natural area, hidden in the clouds. In the winter, the mist falls to create a fanciful and poetic landscape. In the summer, the atmosphere here is charming with open space. Xa Nhe Cave

Xa Nhe cave in Xa Nhe commune, Tua Chua district, is one of the most beautiful caves of Dien Bien with majestic natural scenery, which still keeps its natural beauty intact. The cave is 700m long, including five large and small compartments, each with its mysterious beauty. There are sparkling stalactites on the cave’s dome, sometimes soft and flexible like a waterfall, sometimes with a sharp appearance like sea coral. Each block of stalactites is like flowing waterfalls with countless sparkling crystals. Underneath the cave, there are stalagmites and stalactites of many strange shapes, evoking the imagination of visitors.

Pa Thom Cave

Pa Thom cave is located in Pa Thom commune, Dien Bien district, about 30km west of Dien Bien Phu city center. Local people call the cave “Sham Nang Lai,” meaning “the cave of many flower fairies.” The cave was discovered quite a long time ago, along with beautiful legends and legends about a couple’s love.

Pa Thom Cave is located halfway up the mountain. In the middle of the entrance is a massive rock like a drooping elephant head. The depth of the cave is more than 350m running in the south direction. The cave has nine large and small arches. The entrance to the cave is surrounded by three large blocks of stone, winding like a giant python, separating the cave and forming two entrances and exits. n the cave, there are many stalactites with vivid shapes, fanciful and shimmering colors. On the side of the wall are stalactites like large flowing waterfalls, iridescent silver, making the landscape more mysterious but no less poetic. Pa Thom cave is a natural wonder, an attractive tourist destination of Dien Bien province. In 2009, the Pa Thom cave was recognized as a Vietnam national relic.

Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument

Muong Luan Tower is an artistic architectural work located on the territory of Muong Luan commune, Dien Bien Dong district, about 70km from Dien Bien Phu city. The tower has two distinct parts, including the pedestal and the tower body. The tower has the shape of a person meditating, “Head turns to Vietnam, back turns to Laos.” In addition to historical significance, Muong Luan tower also contains unique artistic and architectural values. In 1981, Muong Luan tower was ranked as a national relic.

Ban Phu Citadel

Ban Phu citadel is located in Noong Het commune, Dien Bien district, about 7km southwest of Dien Bien Phu city. Ban Phu citadel was built by the Hoang Cong Chat insurgent army from 1758 – 1762. The citadel has gates: front, rear, left, right, each door has a high post and a guard station. Later, people built the Hoang Cong Chat temple inside the citadel to commemorate the merits of this general. With unique artistic values, Ban Phu Citadel was recognized as a national historical and cultural relic in 1981.
