Hue is known as the cradle of Vietnamese Buddhism, where there are many pagodas with unique and attractive beauty, one of which is Thien Lam pagoda, a temple with distinctive architecture, different from the ancient temples in Hue.

ThienLam Pagoda, located on the hill of Quang Te (Thuong 2 hamlet, Thuy Xuan commune, Hue City), belonged to the Theravada Buddhism and was established in the 1960s by Most Venerable Hộ Nhẫn. Venerable Hộ Tịnh currently is Abbot of the pagoda.

The landscape here is not only pure but also beautiful. Coming here, visitors will admire the white golden peak stupa shaped like a bell with a height of 15m, created with a model from a pagoda in Thailand. The stupa consists of two floors; the upper one is the place to worship Shakyamuni and the Saints; the lower level is the main hall where monks and Buddhists practice.

In the pagoda, beside the standing and lying Buddha, there are many other statues, symbolizing every step in the life of Buddha.

This is a unique architectural pagoda in Hue, which promises to be a fascinating place of tourists from all over the world when traveling to Hue. At present, this temple has been a place for many people of different ages to pray for health and peace for their families and loved ones.
