In the middle of the rugger rock valley, Pho Tro appears as beautiful as a painting with the folds of houses surrounding the blue lake.
Pho Tro is a small village near the center of Pho Bang town, Dong Van district, less than 5 km from the Pho Bang border gate. This place is blessed with charming beauty, in the middle of the village there is the highlight of the 1-hectare Dragon Lake that never runs out. This is said to be rare in the rocky plateau, respected and nurtured by indigenous people.
Surrounding the Dragon Lake there are many ancient buildings with yin and yang roofs, bearing the tradition of the ethnic people here. When the Spring comes, Pho Tro becomes more and more charming by peach blossom and plum blooming.

The typical stone fences of Dong Van rock plateau are located along Dragon lake. Pho Tro was selected by Dong Van district to pilot a new rural program, in order to turn this place into a cultural and tourist village. Pho Tro now has a solid village headquarters and a spacious primary school. Besides, there is an inter-village concrete road to each house. Households are supported to build toilets and bathrooms.

In Pho Tro this season there are also rows of bright yellow mustard flowers, blooming next to the stone fences in the village. The best time to go to Pho Tro and the Dong Van rock plateau is generally around February to mid-March.
