Mau Son is a majestic mountain range stretching over two districts of Cao Loc and Loc Binh in Lang Son province. This place is located about 30 km from the center of Lang Son city to the East and about 180 km from Hanoi capital. Mau Son is also considered the highest mountain area of Lang Son province with an average height from 800 meters to 1,000 meters above sea level.
Previously, during the French colonial period, Mau Son used to be a high-class resort serving French officials and soldiers living in Vietnam.
